What are smoothies?
A smoothie is a drink made from pureed raw f uit and/or vegetables, typically using a high speed blender. A smoothie often has a liquid base such as water, fruit juice, plant milk, and sometimes dairy products, such as yogurt or cottage cheese. My smoothies can also contain seeds, nuts and other protein based supplements and natural vitamins. My smoothies are all-natural. There are no hidden preservatives, synthetic ingredients or chemicals added. I never use sugar (unlike most similar products on the market)! The right combination of fruits will sweeten the smoothie naturally every time 😊 There are times when I use raw honey. I use lots of nuts and seeds (i.e. chia seeds, flax seeds, hemp seeds, almonds, etc. to name a few). But don’t worry, if you state that you have nut allergies, no problem! I can quickly modify. As far as vegetables, I use a wide variety from yams to beets to kale to spinach, to arugula and the list goes on. I use organic fruits and vegetables to reduce your possible exposure to harmful pesticides and fertilizer that's been chemically treated. Unfortunately, the organic products are more expensive, but keep in mind that this is an “INVESTMENT” in your health that will give you a positive return. Smoothie orders can ONLY be fulfilled to those who live in the Baltimore-Washington DC area. They cannot be shipped. What are the benefits of using smoothies to replace meals? Using smoothies as meal replacements allows the digestive system to take a much needed rest. It doesn't have to work as hard to break down the fruits and vegetables.
